Child Abuse

Quote of the day: "It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes. " Douglas Adams; English humorist & science fiction novelist (1952 - 2001)

Song of the day: "Brown Sugar" The Rolling Stones

I will be the first to tell you, I am a terrible mom. One day while we were gone, lol, Molly didn't want to get up, SO, I did what any other respectable mom would do....

I got up on the bed

AND JUMPED up and down like a two year old screaming, "Time to get up, Time to get up"

To which Molly screamed back at me, "What is WRONG WITH YOU?"

Doc say's I have emotionally scared her for the rest of her life and that she is going to need therapy.

SIGH. I thought it was funny

I got pictures

I have pictures from yesterday to post. I am just too lazy to download them from the camera. Doc says they are blackmail pictures. HA. I will get around to posting them soon. I promise.

Jenn
Not in the mood to look up either a song of the day or a quote.

We have had a really great day, Doc took Molly and I to the Archway over St Louis and we took the tram to the observation deck. That was really neat!

This was followed by a quick nap and down time and then off to a dinner for ten.

This was followed up with a visit with his relations at their house.

I am not in the best of moods right now. And not because of the day either, I just feel let down. Edgy is a better word for it. I can't go into details here, but ... I can't put my finger on what is wrong either.

Natile - I am posting from the blackberry, so... I can't get into the comments and when I was reading eariler I ran out of time to post a reply, but thanks for stopping by! I honestly do try to get Doc to post!!

Renie, it was a reliewf, hugs

If anyone else posted comment sense this am I will reply tomorrow when I can read!

Philly- How did that first week at Georgia Southern go? Miss u.

Song of the day:"Band on the run" Wings

Quote of the day:"Where do bears orginatr from" Molly, Doc,"Err...mommy bears?" Me " Err... I believe they orginate from the wilderness..."

Today we are at the funeral for Mr. Fredricks, Peggy's father. I know nothing about the man and even less about the family, but everyone is handling things very well. I think the family did really well holding it together at the "wake" yesterday and I was honored to be there as support for Eric and relieved to be accepted by her family.

Bear will goto a new home up here in Illonois today. Ms Karen, a cousin to Peggy is wanting him. She seems like a really nice person and I get a good feeling from her, I think Bear will be really happy. I am a little sad though, I do love Bear and I don't really want him to go.

My feet hurt. I am not used to wearing shoes! Well, pumps anyway! I've gotten so fat, LOL, if I walk on soft ground, I might strike Oil! But no, the reality is I hurt my left foot when we were on vacation in April, and I thought it had healed, ,, until I wore the pumps yesterday for 5 hours! My foot all swelled up and wanted to hurt, grrrr, I fixed it, I took three tylenol last night then again this AM, it don't hurt to bad right now!

What else? I can't really think of anything.I need to call the house and check on things there.

Mind IF I park HERE?

Despite the emergency landing, you can see the pilot of this aircraft (top picture) is in relatively good spirits and more importantly UNHARMED.

Let us back up a second. I did not sleep well last night. Needless to say when Doc came home from work, I was a little bit grumpy about being woken up. He took it well. So, I spent the next hour getting the dogs out, Molly up and ready for school, and then I came back in, finished my coffee and said, yea, I am gonna GO BACK TO BED.

I had just crawled into the bed and was on the hinge of sleep or wake and I heard this noise. My first thought was that it was a solicitor and he/she was banging on the door. But the noise did not fit the frantic wooshing noise. I listened closer and sat up in the bed trying to orientate where the noise was coming from and what it was. IT was LOUD. I could hear the bird freaking out and I could hear the dogs freaking out but they were just shallow noises in compared to the... is it flapping?

Disgruntled, I rose from bed, got dressed and followed my ears. On the front porch I looked around. Right away I noticed a big red thing over by Ms Robin's house. And it was moving. I knew that was not right. I grabbed Doc's phone and rushed out the back door with my my flip flops on. LOL. I ran. Or waddled in a fast motion. By the time I hit the driveway I saw the whole scene.

There was a large hot air balloon down between the driveway and the neighbors house. I saw a man crawling out of the basket. OH SHIT. I started to run. He was OK. He started to check out the balloon and the basket and he was talking to some other neighbors that had rushed to his aid on their 4x4. I looked to my right and Ms Robin was coming down the hill with her nephew. OK. Everyone home on the ground was OK.

The man turned and smiled and asked if it was OK if he landed in the yard. Um no, mister, get back in that thing and move it! We were like, YEA, ARE YOU OK. Ok it was an emergency landing, he wasn't death, LOL, but wow. He said that he was from Hendersonville and his chase crew was on the way. He thought it was a nice day but when he got up in the air, the wind was really bad and he saw our valley and decided the safest thing to do was land.

It is all good. He was unharmed, maybe a little spooked but unharmed. He used great judgment and all is well. Even the balloon and the basket!

HAPPY 23rd PHILLY

Happy Birthday to my dear friend
She turned a big 23 today!
Yea!

Song of the day: "Happy Birthday Baby" Marlin Monroe
They say things happen for a reason. I never question reason. But I was having a really good day when I met Philly. And everyday that I have got to see her or talk to her has been a good day... even if it had the makings for a bad one.
Philly, I hope you had a really great birthday. I am sorry I didn't get to wish you one eariler today.
edit the age, oops

I got nothing, LOL.

I have nothing to blog about today. I am watching a movie and debating on going to bed or watching the rest of the movie. SIGH.

Mrs. L's tidbit of the day:
A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said, ' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here
the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'

It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.

You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

Song of the day: "Nothing's gonna stop us now" Starship

Ooohh Neat O

Song of the day: "Somewhere over the rainbow" The Wizard of Oz

Quote of the day : "If someone speaks out against the republican party, Rush Limbagh kicks them out of the repubican party..." CNN Keith Oberman
Second quote of the day: "There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on A lzheimer' s research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recol lection of what to do with them." Unknown

If you look at that picture closely, you can see there is a double rainbow (second is lighter and above the first one). Is that not total coolness? Molly called me and told me the sky was turning a strange color, and I came to look... KNOWING... it would be like tornado yellow or green... ya know... and that is what I saw. I was like... yea, it is a funny FEW colors... like the rainbow ... and she looked again and was like... WOW it was NOT like that a few mintues ago! Hee Hee.

How neat is that. TO be able to see a rainbow form? Sorry I missed it!

Doc is still on his "Spoil Jenn rotten..." roll. He bought me a new shampooer today. LOL. I reckon he is telling me to get off my bumpkin and do something. SIGH. Hee Hee. Naw, I asked for it.

Oh... Guess what? Hee Hee... DOC sent me a text messy. Isin't that neat? Yeah ... he did it... he did it...

And because it is Friday, let me get in on the Friday Cat blogging with a Joke from Mrs. L

The Story of Adam & Eve's Pets

Adam and Eve said, 'Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us.'And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me.

Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves.'

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.
And it was a good animal
And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail
And Adam said, 'Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.'
And God said, 'I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.'

And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them.
And they were comfortedAnd God was pleased.
And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, 'Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well.'

And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration.'

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve. (this is where LL will Protest)

And Cat would not obey them.

And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.

And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased. . . . . .

And Dog was happy. . . . ..

And Cat didn't give a shit one way or the other....

It is HUMP day... wanna?

Quote of the day: "Women are like phones:
They like to be held, talked to,
and touched often.
But push the wrong button and your ass is
disconnected!" unknown

Song of the day: "Walking on Sunshine" Katrina and the Waves

Topic:
Is there one? LOL.
The space mission is in orbit and seeking to fix or maintain the Hubble for another 5 years. Neat. Maybe by then we can bring one up there that is stronger. I love the images we get from Hubble, they are so cool.

Pole Hill walkability (see Doc's blog for the link) . We have a really low walkability rating and most likely because of all the hills (that want to be foothill's... really, step down from little mountains) and yet... the school bus don't come to the house and I have to walk Molly to the stop. It is NOT far but both up hill to get there and up hill to get home, so NOT fair either! OK, the driveway is uphill to get out and then down hill to get to the bus stop and via vera from the stop home, maybe 1/4 of a mile total if that far. BUT my BUTT is sore from doing it. I liked how DOC put in his post the "We" part. Uth-huh. The first thing he said about me moving here was that "WE" were going to work on walking the 5 mile loop. Hmmm. I have the first 1/4 mile of it covered. See, now if he'd walk with me to the bus stop in the morning, we could knock this ... erm... walk... out of the way and he could go to bed tired. Hee Hee.

Next, I am considering getting rid of Bear and Annie. Or at least Bear. They are sweet little dogs and I love them both. BUT Bear can Jump higher then Annie and I am afraid that he is going to catch Doc's bird. We can't have that. I don't really want to get rid of Annie because she is Amanda's dog. She is also sneaky and cowers and I can't stand dogs that do that! But Annie just loves Doc. So does Bear. IT is just too much for me. And it is NOT fair to them that they got to go into the box or outside when I've had enough of them being half grown puppies.

I have steak out to cook for tonight. YUM. I am hungry just thinking about it. I think I will get some pasta and pepperoni when we go to the store tonight and make a pasta salad to go with the steak. Sound good? Yep, I thought so.

OK, I am going to walk my fat rump up the hill and check the mail and then take a shower. I have accomplished nothing this morning ('cept marinading the steaks). It is hard to get anything done when you take a nap and then screw off on the computer all morning! OK, screw off for an hour on the computer! Hee Heee.

Oh and I got pictures of the jungle in front of the house to post, but I just don't feel like downloading the pictures to the comuter right now. Or is it computer to comute the pics to photobucket to up load them here... anywho....

The Tolit Saga's

I had to go thru 21 pages of tolits to find one with the lid up.
Men the world around complain because women the world around
BITCH
about the tolit seat being left up.

One of the last few days of Statistic's
A young man was sitting with Philly and I
Philly and I were....
bitching
about the tolit seat being left up and the young man belts out
"DO YOU THINK YOUR THE ONLY ONES (who fall into the tolit at night)..."
To which we both sat there
mouth open
agast
And Philly said, "THEN why do you leave the damn seats up?"

ready for bed

Quote of the day: "It is by acts and not by ideas that people live." Anatole France (1844-1924)

Song of the day: "Cherry Pie" Warrant

Lousy day. Well from my point of view, anyway. I almost cried a few times and I don't do tears well.

Today Molly stated her new school. She was so brave. I, however, cowered in fear when the kids in her new class rushed us! She wanted to stay today and ride the bus. I was nervous but I decided to let her try it. The drive home, I choked up a few times. And then a few more. I sat in the driveway and regained my composure (in case Doc was still up) and then I went inside. I had to laugh when I went to get out of the Jeep. I reached for my coffee cup and it was still full. Normally (with the old school) the cup would be empty by the time I got to the school. Here I was getting home and it was full. WOW.

Next my mom called. I went outside so I would not wake up Doc. It was good that I did.

Then I spoke to Sue and she did not think it was a good idea for me to talk to Lulu. (I did have tears in my eyes over that one). She did however call me back around eight tonight and let me talk to Lulu.

The lawn needs to be mowed. I reckon I will have to do it. Doc has been working and with the rain ... it does look like a mini forest. I had told Fermicat that I would take pic's of the lawn. I went outside and one part of the lawn came up to my breast. LOL. But I wasn't sure how to take a pic of myself standing in the grass. So, I got a yard stick and leaned it up against the grass and the grass is actually taller then the yard stick and supported the stick in an upright position. OK, that was in the back. Doc didn't get that section mowed last time. And to defend him, it is behind the house. The part in front comes up to about my hips. Hee hee. I however can't post the pictures because Doc threatened a ... uth... revealing ... um post... if I put the pic's up.

My nerves are shot today. I don't do well with crying and trying not to cry and when it comes to my kids... sometimes I need to.

I think I am off to bed.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day
Quote of the day: "The real hero is always a hero by mistake; he dreams of being an honest coward like everybody else." Umberto Eco, Travels in Hyperreality; Italian novelist & semiotician (1932 - )
Song of the day: "Bohemian Rhapsody" Queen
And here is a poem I wrote when Molly was 3 and was calling me her Hero. Hee Hee.
My Hero Today
By: Jenn Ganoe
Thank you momma
Her smile was sweet
I dropped a kiss upon her
and went about the day
she peeked in on mefrom time to time
or I would just stop
drop quietly upon my kneesto creep and be the
unsuspecting beast
In a moment like thatin her eruption of laughter
her eyes sparkled at mein her little voice choked with hiccups
she saidthank you momma
thank you everyday
thank you momma
your my hero today
I didn’t know what to do
I was astounded
I was mesmerized
and no one warned methere would be moments like this
when only could youbreathe
and scarcely at that
afraid to break the trance
I never knewI wanted to be a hero
for anyone
until she told me I was
And what was it
that made her say that
and what had I done
to deserve something so special
as the look of her love
uninhibited adoration
my heart lingers in my chest
I am a hero
Today
Congrat's all you mom's out there, we are doing a great job. And also to you dad's that are doing a mom's job (because she can't be there). Hope your dad was great also!

Happy Saturday

Quote of the day: "A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he gets to know something." Wilson Mizner; US screenwriter (1876 - 1933)

Song of the day: "Name" The GooGoo Dolls

I am in Tennessee. Home. I have never felt so good before. Home.

However, the wrath of Philly has caught up to me. She really must have been mad about me not staying for graduation! It stormed here all night! I mean, down pour, thunder, lightening, wind, power outage, and all at once! I got up a few hours ago and put the dogs out. I went back in and woke Doc up and informed him the driveway was gone. Yes, that much rain! There is a small creek that runs under the driveway... ok it was a small creek... now it is a raging river! Flowing OVER the driveway.

Sirens just went by. I guess that is a new challenge of living out of the country! I got to get used to different noises. SIGH.

Coffee does not have enough caffine in it to wake me up today. I think I am going to put the dogs in and go back to bed. Hee Hee. I can do that until ... a) School starts back Monday for Molly, b) I get Lulu down here, c) school starts back for me. I am gonna wake up Doc and harrass him some. I like this!

Philly

I am sorry. I will explain later in email. Congrats on graduation! We did it!

Bang head here... repeat... repeat...

Song of the day: "November Rain" Guns N Roses

Song of the day: "Breathe Again" Toni Braxton

Quote of the day: "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." Benjamin Disraeli, British politician (1804 - 1881)

Quote of the day: "Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one." Malcolm Forbes, in Forbes Magazine. US art collector, author, & publisher (1919 - 1990)

Maybe I jumped the gun with the remark about there being a place in hell reserved for some teachers.

I lost my ashtray. I can see it. IT is over on the window sill, I just sat down. I had to get off of the foot I twisted on Friday loading the horses to go to the sale. It is swollen. It has been doing pretty good, not hurting or swelling until night; but today was busy and I was on it a lot. It has been hurting for the better part of an hour and swollen about as long.

Girls got to go swimming today for a little bit. Between thunderstorms. I was in there with them and Lucy would not stay in her swim ring so I made her get out. She was pissed. I told her she could go swimming again when she could practice her listening skills. She pitched a fit for about an hour. I just ignored her and went about washing clothes and packing. Well, I pretended to ignore her. LOL. She about beat the back door down, kicked boxes over, threw whatever objects were in her path, refused to take her bathing suit off... but I let her have her fit and she got over it. WOAH. I feel sorry for the man she marries when she is older.

I have to go out to the car and get something and shut the water off before this next storm comes in.

Toodles

Men Beware

HYSTERICAL... if you are at work, cover your mouth, you WILLlaugh out loud!! In a Chicago Hospital , a gentleman had made severalattempts to get into the men's restroom, but it hadalways been occupied. A nurse noticed his predicament. Sir, she said "You may use the ladies room if youpromise not to touch any of the buttons on the wall." He did what he needed to, and as he sat there henoticed the buttons he had promised not to touch. Each button was identified by letters: WW , WA , PP20and a red one labeled ATR. Who would know if he touched them? He couldn't resist.. He pushed WW. Warm water wassprayed gently upon his bottom. What a nice feeling, he thought. Men's restrooms don't have nice things like this. Anticipating greater pleasure, he pushed the WAbutton. Warm air replaced the warm water, gentlydrying his underside. When this stopped, he pushed the PP button. A largepowder puff caressed his bottom adding a fragile scentof spring flower to this unbelievable pleasure. Theladies restroom was more than a restroom, it is tender loving pleasure. When the powder puff completed its pleasure, hecouldn't wait to push the ATR button which he knewwould be supreme ecstasy. Next thing he knew he opened his eyes, he was in ahospital bed, and a nurse was staring down at him. "What happened?" he exclaimed. "The last thing Iremember was pushing the ATR button." "The button ATR is an Automatic Tampon Remover. Yourpenis is under your pillow."

Evaluation Time

I have spent some time agonizing about how I am going to write this post. The world watches and hold's her breath waiting on Jenny to speak. LOL. But the reality is that you never know who is going to stumble across your blog and how that will affect you in the future and in your future endeavors. Let me think on giving my teacher evaluations for a minute or ten.

Song of the day: "Not Now John" Pink Floyd

Quote of the day: "That is the saving grace of humor, if you fail no one is laughing at you." A. Whitney Brown.

2nd Quote of the day: "Anger is a feeling that makes your mouth work faster than your mind." Evan Ester (1899-1995)

I guess I have nothing nice to say. LOL. Does that make me wrong?

Yea, wait, I do have something nice to say. Randy Carter. I was really resentful about taking this class with him. About taking American Government in general… not resentful just insulted. But I learned a lot. I learned how to view both sides of politics and learned what makes politicians tick. I also had a great teacher; Mr. Carter presented the information in an unbiased way and made the class interesting with his little antidotes and mannerisms. But he did not get inside my head and re-arrange the furniture. It is still in place but he did manage to wipe the rust off of some gears and cogs in there.

Now, I have to post this before I go take his final and change my mind. LOL.

knock the wind out of my sails and call me jane

Song of the day: "Cruel to be Kind" Nick Lowe

Quote of the day: "My definition of a free society is a society where it is safe to be unpopular." Adlai E. Stevenson Jr., Speech in Detroit, October 7, 1952. US diplomat and Democratic Politician (1900-1965)

Today sucked. 4 exams. I did all right. I passed 3 of them and bombed one. The one I bombed I've already passed the class another semester so I am not to worried about it (I just wanted a better grade) SIGH, so my GPA went down the shitter on that one. OH WELL. Better then bombing 3 and passing one. LOL.

I am E X H A U S T E D. I didn't realize that taking exams would tax your brain the way mine feels right now. But even my eyes are gritty.

Let me tell you about the statistic exam though. We skipped chapter 10 because the building our class is in had to be evacuated at the start of class last week. Today he covered chapter 11. Then fifteen minutes after class the graduating students had to take their finals. BOTH chapters were on the final. Was that fair? I know, life is not fair, deal with it.

Today was the offical bug out day. I had people calling my house and emailing me just all buggy about the exams. Oh and text messaging me. People who have snubbed me all semester. Or have I snubbed them? Don't matter. All I care is that Philly and I survived today. That's it, everyone else can go piss in the statistic teachers hat! HA.

My government teacher has said before, "I firmly believe there is a place reserved in Hell for some teachers..." and you know what? My government teacher is my new hero after today. HA. Quit laughing Philly. I stand behind that remark of Carter's! And you know who I want to see my first day in hell? Mr Blackburn. I want to sit next to him and torture the SOB through eternity. OK, well Hell is a harsh word. But I do like the way Carter said that.

Ameri Govi tomorrow. WOoohOOoo.

I don't think I am going to walk at graduation. I have to stop by the registrar's office tomorrow and see how I get out of walking. After today I am burnt out and I just don't want to. I was going to walk to be there for Philly but really... I am proud of her! She is so cool and so positive and so optimistic and without her I would not have survived today! And the only reason I was going to walk at graduation was so I could cheer her on. But I am burnt out. I don't want to walk at graduation. I don't want to be nice to the people who I have to on graduation day. That and if Blackburn is there I might just cuss him in front of everyone!

What to do? Don't walk Jenn. No need to cuss him.

OK, off to bed. I am hittingthe backspance more then the right letters.
NIGHTERS.

going... going... gone!

Song of the day: "I don't want to wait" Paula Cole

Quote of the day: "This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the baby gets hold of a hammer" Will Rogers 1879-1935

The woman who bought Comanche called me today and told me she got my horse and that she had a good home for her. She said that Lewie explained I had to leave the state and that who ever bought the horses were getting healthy horses. She asked me when her shots were due and I told her how fancy Comanche can be. She was ecstatic. She said there was a small bidding war for Freckles. One guy really wanted him (and got him) and kept upping the bid. Cool.

She made me cry. She said she would mail me a picture of my pony in her new home. She promised to be good to her. I tried to be brave on the phone but I think she could tell. I thanked her for calling me and hung up. I wept for a few minutes but then I resolved to the fact the horses were going to have a good life.

Nothing else exciting.

We never got to the beach. The woman coming to look at the furniture stood me up. Kids were in the pool twice today and ate all day like we have never fed them. Ms Jen and Lucy got in an argument about whose b-day was next, and I saw a snake.

Yep. Seeing the snake kind of ruined my day. LOL. It was brown and I don't know if it was a Brown snake or an Eastern Brown snake, so that is disturbing seeing one is poisonous and one is not. UGH.

smorgus board

Quote of the day: "If you can find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere." Frank A. Clark

Song of the day: "Call Me" Blonde

I can't get into webCT to make my final comments for Western Civ. It pisses me off but there is nothing I can do about it. Maybe I just don't care. LOL.

We are having a sleepover. Yea. We have been in the pool. They have ate. They are in the dark kitchen playing... oh no not with the video games, or board games, or any cluster F**K of things we got for kids to do. They are in the dark, playing with flash lights. KIDS.

I am taking them to the beach tomorrow. Not Tybee. We are going to the man made beach in Swainsboro.

I found out this afternoon my best girlfriends youngest daughter has been molested by an 11 year old girl. I was a little pissed off about how this was being handled. That kid might as well been one of my kids. And oooh.... grrrr. I mouthed off a little bit but to no avail so I changed the topic.

That is about it.

Gonna run and chase these kids to bed! LOL.

off to auction

my horses went to the auction this afternoon. I cried.

definition of wealth‏

I got this in an email from Mrs L, I like the way it reads, so lets all enjoy this:

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip , the father asked his son , "How was the trip?"
"It was great , Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah , " said the son.
"So , tell me , what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us , but they serve others.
We buy our food , but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us , they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added , "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have , especially your friends!
Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.
"Life is too short and friends are too few."

LoooK what we saw today!

This is my first time in my life I have ever seen one in person! Neat O!

Good Morning

Song of the day: "Walk like an Egyptian" The bangles

Quote of the day: " 'Pandemic' mean's pay attention, not panic" CDC

I forgot to do my Thurday blog and that should have read, 4 weeks to go, any guessers? LOL, but today it might read, 8 days to go any takers?

But instead I am wishing you all a very bright and cheery good morning!

Here is the link to the interactive map of what states have the flu and how many reported cases of it. See, the problem I have with that is that... they are not testing people. Unless your a white house aid or a doctor. See, I have a problem with the way this is being handled.

The FED's are delivering 12 million doses of the Taniflu or Relenza to the states for distribution. BUT we have (according to census data which is well below what it is) 300,000 million people in the US. So, who is going to get the Tamiflu? Doctors, military, and government employee's. Ok, maybe not police. But that is suppose to be 25% of our population that can get vacinated. They also said there is no short supply at the pharmacy. I went and talked to the pharmist of two stores, one store has 1 dose and the other store don't have any. I just read an article that said the post office is supose to have a stock pile of this because in the event of emergency the Post Office will be delivering the medication to sick people. But the rest of us that are not important by government standards won't be getting a thing. If the government kill's us off then they don't have to worry about social programs, right? (like food stamps, medicaid, medicare). But the government also won't get the tax money to keep them big and fat. I guess their lives and long run picture is more important than our lives

I am happy I did not vote for Obama. It appears to me that he wants the American People dead. He was a Muslim. Just knowing that makes me feel like he probably is working under the authority of some terrorist country and having Indian Head MD putting this bug out. After reading about who will be medicated, I am sorry, but that is how I feel... I feel that way because I know that I am not on the list of people that will be medicated. Are you? I just hope I am wrong. Really I do because he does appear to be doing a great job the first 100 days in office.

Moving on, my above stated part with the post office leads to my problem with the post office doing the deliveries is this epidemic and distribution of medicine (if needed), , , I bet my postal carrier wouldn't. Hell she won't come down our road if it is raining, do you think she is going to come down our road if there is a leathal illness reported in our area? Please don't mail us anything, lol, we are fixing to be isolated from the world because of the swine flu! LOL.
