First the worm tree or Catalpa tree... yes, I said that right. A tree that grows worms. Fishing worms. How about that!

Thanks Jenny! Just for me! Now what is a man tree sprite???? And the worm tree? Do they really use those for fishing??? Can YOU eat them? Oh so green and lush!

I took a picture of the flower for you. That is the green stringy thing that hangs off of it. The tree is late blooming like that, usually it does this in early July or late June. When The bean husk opens then there is an abundence of black fuzzy catapillars all over the tree. They call it a Worm Tree. The proper name is Catalba. No, you can't eat them, but the fish love to bite when you fish with them!

They sold the man face at FRED's and I couldn't resist! He was so cute!
